Bando Chemical Industries, Ltd. ("Bando"), headquartered in Kobe, Japan, will build a new
factory in southern India to meet increasing demand in India for its scooter and automotive power
transmission belts. The new factory will be built in Bangalore and will be operated by Bando's
subsidiary, Bando (India) Private Limited ("Bando (India)"). Total investment will be about two
billion yen, and the factory is expected to begin production in the first half of fiscal 2013.
