Groundbreaking Ceremony at Bangalore Factory in India
   Bando's subsidiary in India, Bando (India) Private Limited (gBIPLh), held a groundbreaking
ceremony on October 19 for the construction of its new factory in Bangalore in southern India.  The
ceremony was attended by 20 people, including Bando's Chairman, Akio Ogura, Managing Director 
Masahiko Ohara, and BIPL President Hiroshi Yamada, and prayed for the safe construction of the 
factory.  Onsite equipment installation is expected to begin in September 2012, and production is 
expected to start in early 2013.  
   The production and sale of scooters and automobiles are expected to rise in India along with the 
growth of the economy there.  BIPL was established in 2003 for the production and sale of power 
transmission belts, and the new factory is being built to keep up with increased demand.  The new 
factory will be an integrated production facility, including materials processing.  It will be 
constructed in an industrial park in Narsapur, about 60km northeast of Bangalore, with excellent 
access to major cities in India, which will strengthen our supply system in the country.
