About SDGs
The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) were adopted by the United Nations in 2015 toward the realization of a sustainable world.
The SDGs aim to solve environmental, social, and economic issues.
SDGs to which the Bando Group contributes
In January 2020, the Bando Group set the Group Targets for SDGs and set KPIs for each target in February 2021.
With an eye to contributing to various SDGs through our Sustainability activities, the Group will work on the following three SDGs deeply
related to our initiatives of the mid-to long-term management plan and to which we can contribute most in order to contribute to the achievement of sustainable society through our business and corporate activities.
Belts which reduce energy loss with a unique structure of rubber compound design and notches
A system to maximize transmission efficiency of flat belts by preventing meandering and skidding with uniquely developed autonomous meandering control pulley and auto tensioner
Achieve energy efficiency in various equipment
The Bando Group’s core products of belts are used to transmit power and transport goods. We support operation of a wide range of equipment from large machinery used in resources development to appliances at home and office. We will pursue belts that transmit energy more efficiently and contribute to achieving energy efficiency of various equipment and reducing CO2 emissions.

As a manufacturer, we are working to develop new production methods for our core products that enable manufacturing with efficient use of resources. We will design and develop products that reduce highly toxic substances and waste and achieve eco-friendly manufacturing that reduces wastes and energy consumption significantly.
