Under Guideline 1 “Creation of value” in the Mid-Term Management Plan (CV-1), we position the electronic materials business and the medical and healthcare equipment business as a growth area for new businesses, and the environmental and energy field, including radiative cooling materials and superhydrophobic materials, as a development area for new businesses. The Group leverages the core technologies developed over the years to focus on developing products in various domains that solve social and environmental challenges, with the aim of sustainably enhancing corporate value.

― Contributing to energy saving ―
We leverage our proprietary film processing technologies, etc. developed over the years to conduct research and development on thermal management products for outdoor use. As part of these efforts, we focused on “radiative cooling,” which is expected to help mitigate heat and conserve energy by suppressing temperature increases in objects by highly reflecting the heat-carrying near-infrared radiation emitted by the sun while efficiently radiating heat. Based on this concept, we developed “Silver Arrow™,” an outdoor radiative cooling film. This product, which has been test-marketed since July 2025, uses silver in its reflective layer to deliver high near-infrared reflectance and excellent thermal emissivity, enabling it to suppress temperature increases inside buildings, equipment, cargo compartments, etc.
Features of Silver Arrow™
High reflectance of near-infrared
radiation from the sun
The use of silver in the reflective layer maximizes near-infrared reflectance, significantly suppressing temperature increases inside buildings, equipment, cargo compartments, etc., compared to conventional heat-reducing products
Contribution to
energy savin
Suppressing internal temperature increases helps reduce the energy required for cooling, resulting in lower CO2 emissions than before the product was used and contributing to carbon neutrality

― Contributing to smaller, higher-performance electronic devices ―
In recent years, as demand for “smaller,” “higher-performance” electronic components has grown in fields such as automotive devices for EVs, telecommunications equipment, and AI data center-related equipment, we have leveraged our thermal management technologies developed over the years to manufacture and sell “HEATEX™,” a high thermal conductive sheet that achieves high thermal conductivity through the use of thermally conductive fillers. The “HEATEX™ TS500 Series,” launched in May 2026, offers thermal conductivity more than 1.5 times that of our conventional products.
Features of HEATEX™
Ultra-high thermal conductivity
Boron nitride with high thermal conductivity along its axial direction is used as a thermally conductive filler. Its “orientation” in the thickness direction enables high thermal conductivity
Excellent processability and workability
Its strong sheet form provides excellent processability and workability, making it easy to process into various shapes and handle

― Supporting the evaluation, training and management of swallowing function in the older adults ―
The swallowing movement monitor “B4S™,” a healthcare device, uses a non-invasive method incorporating our “C-STRETCH™“ stretchable strain sensor to visualize throat movements during swallowing, which previously could only be observed by practitioners providing swallowing training, and enables the visualized movements to be shared with users.
The use of this product enables accurate evaluation and appropriate training and management of swallowing function in older adults and is expected to improve productivity in nursing care settings by enhancing the quality of oral care, mealtime assistance, and rehabilitation while improving the efficiency of care staff operations.
In May 2025, following a review by the “Committee for Consideration of Products That May Be Eligible for the Introduction Support Program of the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare,” established by the Association for Technical Aids, this product was selected* as a device in the “Meal and Nutrition Management Support” category, one of the Priority Fields in the Use of Technologies for Long-term Care.
* As a result of this selection, the product may be eligible for subsidies under the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare’s Care Technology Introduction Support Program.
Features of B4S™
Swallowing function evaluation
Measuring the number and timing of swallows enables evaluation of swallowing function
Swallowing training
Visualization of swallowing movements enables swallowing training with a focus on pharyngeal movements
