Initiatives and basic policy of CSR promotion

The Bando Group believes that in order for a company to conduct its business and achieve sustainable growth, it is essential to harmoniously coexist with stakeholders—customers, shareholders and investors, employees, business partners (including suppliers and retailers), and local communities— to provide products and services that meet the needs of society while undertaking business activities that help preserve the global environment.

The Bando Group had worked on six CSR promotion themes since 2009, and in fiscal 2017, we developed new CSR promotion themes in order to address additional requests from domestic and overseas stakeholders and launched CSR activities according to these themes in fiscal 2018.

With the view of contributing to sustainable growth of society and continuing to be a corporate group trusted by society, we will continue our efforts to live together with our stakeholders and focus on new CSR promotion themes in order to incorporate values and principles of actions in line with our management philosophy into our corporate culture.

CSR promotion system

The Bando Group’s CSR promotion system is led by the Company’s CSR Promotion Committee. The CSR Promotion Committee is an organization to promote CSR activities of the entire Bando Group and is chaired by Bando’s executive in charge of CSR. The Committee is also responsible for prioritizing issues, tracking the progress of CSR activities, promoting public information disclosure, and interacting with stakeholders. The Committee is also responsible for overseeing functions of committees and departments for each CSR promotion theme.
